The Story

Meriweather Chocolate Co. is conceptualized by Caylie See (moi) — descendent of a long line of lady chocolatiers.

My kinfolk have been making chocolate for a long time, and I continue this craft amidst the woodlands of Vermont.

Meriweather is a chocolate company inspired by the tides of nature, with thoughtfully curated, small batch bars that include a melange of bugs, flowers, and seasonal delights.

My last name means ‘from the sea,’ and there’s many sea captains in my family. My first job was as a fishmonger, but I found even deeper waters connecting to my origins by making chocolate to further preserve familial tradition. You’ll also see a hint of the ocean in some of my provisions.

The Philosophy

Meriweather is based on a collection of dreams and time-tested whimsy. It's rooted in the exploration of the inherent relationship between people and plants.

These handmade confections are informed by origin, nature’s larder and creative temperament.

Each bite incorporates thoughtfully sourced cacao, alongside foraged and locally farmed ingredients, to evoke a microcosm of the world we observe around us — ensconced in bean-to-bar chocolate.

Meriweather’s single origin bars and truffles showcase life and adventure.
